[HotHelp] How many ink colors will I need to reproduce my image?
The number of ink colors you'll need depends on the complexity and color variety of your image. For simpler designs, such as logos or text with solid colors, each distinct color in your design typically requires its own ink. For example, a logo with blue, red, and white would need three ink colors.
If your design includes gradients, full-color images, or multiple shades, we recommend using a full-color printing process like CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) or digital printing, which allows for a wider range of colors and more precise reproduction without the need to match individual inks.
Printing pictures require DTF (Direct-to-Film) or DTG (Direct-to-Garment) printing depending on the type of T-shirt.
DTG is best for 100% cotton shirts as it prints directly onto the fabric, providing vibrant, detailed images. For synthetic or blended fabrics, DTF is recommended because it transfers the design onto a film before applying it to the shirt, ensuring better adhesion and color vibrancy on various materials.
